Walking
The Pembrokeshire Coast foot path is a short walk from the cottages at Woodlands. The section of footpath from Martins Haven to Nolton Haven passes along the cliff top at the village. Turn south at the end of the Point and you can walk along the cliff top to Martins Haven. Heading the other way the coast path passes through Broad Haven and then north to Nolton Haven. There are plenty of picnic points along the way or stop off at Druidstone Hotel for lunch and a drink. There are year round Coastal Bus Services specially designed for walkers. Surfing and Windsurfing and Kitesurfing
Surfers, kite surfers and windsurfers visit the area year round to play with the Atlantic rollers and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. Lessons and kit hire are available from Haven Sports and the beaches are suitable for people of all abilities. The nearby village of Dale is the ideal location for beginners to learn windsurfing and sailing in sheltered waters of the Milford Haven waterway. Enthusiasts and experts head to Newgale beach and Whitesand′s Bay near St David′s.where tuition and kit hire is also available.
Horse Riding
The nearby riding stables at Nolton Haven can cater for all levels of rider and provide accompanied rides through the woods and along the beaches.
Coasteering
Coasteering involves traversing sea cliffs whilst swimming into sea caves, climbing up through natural rock arches, flinging yourself from towering vertical rock faces, and perhaps even swimming with Atlantic grey seals. There are a couple of companies in St David′s who will provide a wetsuit, helmet, buoyancy aid and guided tuition .
Fishing
Famous for its bass fishing, the coastal and inshore waters of Pembrokeshire also offer outstanding opportunities for sea anglers interested in a wide range of other species. Bream, mullet, wrasse, conger, rockling, mullet, pollack, mackerel, sharks and rays are some of the more popular target species. Fishing is possible from Broad Haven beach and the point at Little Haven.
Bird and wildlife watching
The National Park is renowned for its abundant wildlife. The wild flowers are spectacular during the Spring and early Summer period. Dolphins and seals can be spotted during the Summer and Autumn months and boat trips run from St David′s and Martins Haven. Bird watchers can also regularly spot Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes and Choughs. The look outs at Strumble Head and Castlemartin are some of the finest sea bird watching sites in Wales.
Kayaking
The varied coastline and spectacular cliff features around Little Haven are best explored by kayak which can be hired from Broad Haven or nearby Newgale. Remember to watch out for the seals.
Golf
Pembrokeshire is home to some of the most beautiful Golf Courses, surrounded by sea views, with inland courses as well. Haverfodwest (18 holes) boasts a high quality course, along with St David′s (11 holes) with green fees starting at £16.50.
Diving
Pembrokeshire is a treasure chest when it comes to its marine habitat, and is as varied, dramatic and colourful as the Coastal National Park itself. There are dives that cater to all levels of ability. Boats lauch directly from Little Haven and Broad Haven to visit the nearby Stack Rocks, Hen & Chicks and Nabs Head. Shore dives are possible from nearby Martins Haven and St Brides Haven. Dive Pembrokeshire is located about a mile from Woodlands.
