Little Haven Village
Little Haven nestles in a quiet cove in the southern corner of St. Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire. It is undoubtedly one of the most delightful seaside villages in the whole of Wales. The settlement dates back to the iron age and was once a base for sea trading and smuggling.
Nowadays the safe, sandy beach is well used by inshore fishermen, dinghy sailors, windsurfers and families carrying buckets and spades. The village is popular meeting place for visitors and local people with three pubs, bistro, village shop and post office, gift shop and pottery.
The strong community spirit of the local people is evident in their support for the local inshore lifeboat and by the number of outdoor events including barbecues and live music that are organised around the sea wall during the summer months. The annual regatta and raft races are renowned in the Pembrokeshire summer calendar and visitors are especially welcome to join in.
A visit to Little Haven would not be complete without a walk along 'The Point' to the headland and the chance to watch the sun set over the restless Atlantic Ocean.
Little Haven is a perfect base to explore and enjoy the surrounding Pembrokeshire Coast. We have suggested some of our favourites places to visit and activities to enjoy on the rest of the site. But the only way to really appreciate this part of Pembrokeshire is to come and explore it for yourself. This beguiling, idyllic place will surely tempt you back time and time again.
